January 10 1935 Sarah Anne Burke McCormack was born February 16, 1865 and departed this life January 6, 1935, at the age of 69 years 10 months and 20 days. She was united in marriage to J. S. McCormack and to this union was born 12 children. She was saved in the Methodist church 53 years ago and had since lived a life of Christian service. Her home was at Denton, Ky. She leaves to morn her loss her husband, J. S. McCormack, five sons J. O. & J. L. of Rush, Ky; W. A. of Mascot, Tenn.; P. B. of Accoville W. Va., and C. B. of Wilkinson, W. Va.; four daughters, Mrs. John Enyart of Rossmore, W. Va., Mrs. Emma Morgan of Olive Hill, Ky., Mrs. Eva Hardy of Cincinnati and Margaret McCormack of Holdon, W. Va. (three children having preceded her in death), 21 grandchildren and four great grandchildren, besides a host of relatives and friends. Tuesday morning funeral services were conducted at the Johnson Chapel Church by Bro. Roe, pastor of the Methodist Church of Grayson, with C. W. Henderson, of Olive Hill, in charge, then she was laid away in the family cemetery nearby. Within our heart hath place, As when on earth she walked with us And met us face to face. Her life is forever ours; What to us she has been Hath left henceforth its seal and sign Engraven deep within.

Sarah married John Samuel McCORMACK, son of Floyd Alson McCORMACK and Frances Jane RATCLIFF, on 17 Sep 1882. (John Samuel McCORMACK was born on 28 Mar 1859 in Greenup, KY, died on 6 Jul 1938 in Ironton, Lawrence Co, OH and was buried in Straight Creek, Carter Co, KY.)
