Married Emily Brumfield 23 Feb 1826 in Giles Co VA.-M bond -witnessed by Micager Brumfiled & John Peterson, "This is to certify that Lorenzo Mccormac was 21 the 11 Oct last . .signed Denit McCormac."

Lorenzo and Emly relocated to N C where Emily was killed in a corncrib by Creek Indians according to Bert McCormack. Lorenzo brought the children to Lawrence Co KY after the incident. His brother William and family had already moved to Lawrence Co along with the Brumfields.

Lorenzo married Emly BRUMFIELD, daughter of Micajah BRUMFIELD and Eleanor (Ellen) CLAY, on 28 Feb 1826 in Giles Co, VA. (Emly BRUMFIELD was born about 1805 in Franklin Co VA and died before 1850 in N.C..)
