Notes from Deborah Millemaci (great granddaughter of Victoria Taylor Hicks) Victoria was disinherited when her husband died. The Hicks farm was left to Martin VAn Buren's son by his first marrige. She was given one year to vacate the property of he late husband but chose to move immediately back to her old homeplace. I assume she finally inherited her old home place after her bachelor brothers died. It's not clear whether she was the one (perhaps with her son Elmer) who sold to the Thomas family who now own the property (a couple of generations down, of course).
